Please do not. An off-track door is still connected to springs and cables under tension, and its weight is being carried unevenly. Levering it can release that load suddenly. Keep everyone clear, do not operate the opener, and wait for someone who can secure the door first.
Is my car safe to move if the door came down on it?
Leave the vehicle where it is if the door is resting on it or leaning against it, because the car may be the only thing holding the door up. Say so when you call so the visit is prioritized and the technician arrives ready to support the door.
Does an off-track door always need replacing?
